Demo import

If you want your site to look like exactly the ‘Chaoz’ demos, you have to import the demo content successfully.

We integrated the One Click Demo installation feature in ‘Chaoz’. You can import the demo content by a click only.

How to Update Theme }

Install the theme and active it. Then install all required plugins. Make sure all the required plugins are activated and you must have to install the One Click Demo Import plugin before you begin.  Then navigate to ‘Appearance > Import Demo Data‘ to import the demo data and click on the “Import Demo Data” button.

Note: Install and active all required plugins before you click on the “Import Demo Data” button and import the second demo for Minimal Portfolio, Creative Blog, Shop, Digital Agency homepage. You can make any page as the front-page of your website from Settings > Reading.

After Demo Import

Navigate to Elementor > Settings after import the demo content. Check the “Disable Default Colors” and “Disable Default Fonts” check-boxes.

Tips: Clean your WordPress site before reinstalling a Demo. You can clean your WordPress with the WP Reset plugin.

An alternative method to import the demo content.

However, you will get all demo content data with the theme package. You will find the demos in ‘chaoz>inc>demos/demo{demo number} this path. If you failed to import the demo content with one click then you have to follow the below steps to import the demo content manually.

  • Navigate to Tools > Import then install the WordPress plugin and click on the ‘Run Importer’. Upload here the ‘contents.xml’ file.
  • Install the Widget Importer & Exporter plugin to import the demo widgets. Then navigate to Tools > Widget Importer & Exporter and upload here the ‘widgets.wie’ file.
  • Now you have to import the Chaoz Theme Settings as like the demo. Navigate to ‘Theme Settings > Import / Export’. Then click on the Import from File button and copy-paste the backup string here and click on the Import a Backup button. You will find the backup string in the settings.json file.

Common Trouble Shoots after importing a demo:

You may face some issues after Importing the demo contents.  Here are some common things that you have to do to set-up your website as like the demo-

Scrolling Issue: You may see the scrolling problem in the Homepage after import a demo. Take a look at your Homepage and check if a section or more section is missing. Contact Form, Google Map sections may be missing. Configure your map from Theme Settings > Map Settings and follow the bellow guide for contact form integration.

Contact Form- If you do not get the contact form with the demo contents. Make it manually and update the Contact form shortcode in the Elementor section. You can get the Chaoz Contact form Template here.

WooCommerce Wishlist- After importing the demo contents you have to configure the Wishlist settings according to our instructions. Get the instructions from here.
