To start building a Footer section with the DDoc theme, visit your WordPress Dashboard > Droit Template > Add New From here, you’ll have the option to add your footer section title.
Now scroll down below to Droit Template Settings, under this settings option you’ll find Type of Template & Display on options.
It is important to select the type of template you’re trying to create, in this case, select the Footer option from the drop-down.
And for the display on option select where you would like your footer section to be displayed in this case, select Entire Website.
You also have the option to create a unique footer section for different pages by following the same process and selecting the appropriate Display on option as per your requirement.
In the end, ensure that you have the template option selected to “Elementor Canvas“ and hit publish.
Now to add content to your Footer, visit your WordPress Dashboard > Droit Template and click on the Edit with Elementor button on the Footer that you’ve just created.
Now you can use any widget by Elementor or Droit Addons for Elementor from the left-hand side for customizing the footer section. For this example, we’ll be using the Site Logo widget to add the DDoc logo to the footer section.
Search for the widget from the left-hand side of the screen & drop it to your preferred position. Now, under the Logo option, add the Logo.
When you’re done, make sure to hit Publish to make the changes go live.
And there you have it. You have just created your footer section. You also have the option to further customize it with Elementor and provided customization options with Droit Addons for Elementor.
